I bought the most expensive carbon bike that I could afford (not much and it comes with Shimano 105 groupset), but it didn't come with carbon handlebar. The first thing I did was bought this handlebar and replaced the stock bar with this. The front end feels a bit lighter now and when I'm on the drop (I'm there often), I can feel it dampen vibrations a great deal. 12-degree flare is wide enough to allow me to stay on the drop without bending my elbow, but it's not too wide to make me open up too much. I love this handlebar.
Primarily using this bar on gravel roads. Simply put, the most comfortable drop bar I've used on or off the road.
The shallow drop and 12 degree make technical sections much more doable.
Seriously thinking about putting another one of these on my dedicated road bike.
