A Heartfelt Message from Grizzly Cycles: A Hopeful Reflection on Our Journey Together
Dear Grizzly Cycles Family,
As I sit down to write this, my heart is heavy yet hopeful. Over the years, Grizzly Cycles has become more than just a place to shop for bikes and gear—it’s been a community hub, a gathering space for fellow riders, and a sanctuary for those who share a passion for cycling. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this small business, dedicating countless hours to ensure that each one of you feels welcomed and valued when you walk through our doors.
As we approach the end of another year, it’s natural to reflect on the journey we’ve taken together and what lies ahead for the shop. This time of year often brings a sense of hope and renewed purpose, but it also carries a weight of uncertainty. As I look to the future, I cannot ignore the financial struggles that threaten the existence of Grizzly Cycles. The next six months will be critical for us. If we cannot turn things around, I may be forced to consider closing our doors. This thought weighs heavily on me, as it feels like facing the loss of a cherished dream—a dream that you’ve all helped to build and nurture through your support.
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your loyalty, encouragement, and enthusiasm have meant the world to me. From our weekly rides to the laughter shared during our events, it has always been about more than just business. It’s been about creating memories and fostering the spirit of cycling within our community. Together, we’ve celebrated achievements, embraced new riders, and shared the simple joys that come with being part of this beautiful world of outdoor adventure.
Unfortunately, in the current economic climate, smiles and community spirit alone aren’t enough to keep our lights on. The cost of running a small business has skyrocketed, and the challenges of maintaining inventory and managing expenses have become increasingly daunting. I’ve fought diligently to navigate these hurdles, but I find myself growing exhausted from the daily struggle. Each day has become a balancing act, striving to keep the excitement alive while worrying about how to pay the bills.
I don’t wish to close Grizzly Cycles; that’s the last thing I want. My hope is to keep this dream alive, to continue being a part of your lives and fostering the community we’ve built together. I believe in the power of resilience and the strength that comes from supporting one another. However, I also recognize the reality of our situation—I need to be transparent about the potential fate of this beloved shop.
As we move forward into the coming months and reflect on the challenges and triumphs of the year, I am asking for your support now more than ever. If you’ve ever considered stopping by to grab a bike or gear, or if you want to join us for a ride or an event, I invite you to do so. Share your love for Grizzly Cycles with friends and family, spread the word, and help us remind others of the magic that happens here. Every purchase, every shared story, and every moment spent in this space counts now more than ever.
With a heavy heart, I am reaching out to you today, not just as a business owner, but as part of this incredible cycling family. I believe that with your support, we can turn the tide and continue our journey together. I remain hopeful and committed to doing everything possible to keep Grizzly Cycles alive.
Thank you for being a part of my journey, for believing in this dream, and for allowing me to be a part of yours. Let’s come together in the upcoming months, rallying around the community we’ve created, with the hope that we can keep the doors of Grizzly Cycles open for many more rides to come.
With all my gratitude,
Kevin
